2020 MDA Cruisin for a Cause

Scott Steuck | 08/04/2020

Bull Falls Harley-Davidson of Wausau will raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at its first-ever Cruisin’ for a Cause on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held at the dealership, located at 1570 County Road XX in Rothschild.

The event will kick off with a Scavenger Hunt Ride from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drivers and passengers are on their own after receiving their ride card, which will feature five stops within a 20-mile radius of Wausau. Participants must write down the Scavenger Hunt Word at each stop and then bring it back to the dealership by 1 p.m. to qualify to win prizes, including a $500 Kwik Trip gift card donated by MDA.

The cost for the Scavenger Hunt Ride is $20 per driver and $15 per passenger. All participants will receive a free specially designed fandana for the event.

Back at the dealership, local rock band The 3s & 7s will perform from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and food will be available from several different food trucks including Kasuns Smokehouse and Relocation Pub & Eatery. Beverages will be available for purchase from the Wausau Fire Department, which is also assisting Bull Falls Harley-Davidson and the Bull Falls Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter with running the event.

Tickets for raffle baskets will be available to purchase. Items for the raffle have been donated by Bull Falls Harley-Davidson, the Bull Falls HOG Chapter, MDA, and several local businesses and individuals.

Money is also being raised for MDA through pledge forms available online at www.bullfallshd.com. Individuals can win prizes for specific pledge goals and people are encouraged to compete against friends and other riders.

“Due to the pandemic, many of the MDA’s normal fundraisers have been cancelled,” said Dixie Kinnard, Bull Falls Harley-Davidson co-owner and event organizer. “However, the needs of the organization and of the families affected by MDA are still there. We are holding this event to help MDA meet those needs.” All proceeds will help local families throughout Central Wisconsin who are battling Muscular Dystrophy and ALS. People should visit www.mda.org for more information.

The public is welcome to attend the event. Pledge and registration forms are available at www.bullfallshd.com. People who pre-register by Aug. 9 will be entered for a chance to win a Harley-Davidson wall sign.

Sponsors of the event include NRG Media, Muzynoski Masonry, Rack Industrial, Buska Retirement Solutions & Wealth Management, Delta Dental, Fabiano Brothers, and Waukesha Bearings.
